Premier League round up – 22nd April 2017

Bournemouth 4 v 0 Middlesbrough

Britain Soccer Premier League

Middlesbrough are all but relegated from the Premier League after suffering a 4-0 thumping at the hands of Bournemouth. Josh King and Benik Afobe put the Cherries 2-0 up in the first period before Gaston Ramirez was sent off for the visitors.

The hosts took advantage by firing home two more via Marc Pugh and Charlie Daniels to leave Middlesbrough 9 points adrift from safety with just 4 games remaining.

Hull 2 v 0 Watford

Big win for the Tigers as 10-man Hull beat Watford 2-0 to remain out of the relegation zone.

Oumar Niasse was shown a controversial straight red for a challenge on M’Baye Niang in the 25th minute as they managed to go into half-time goalless.

Lazar Markovic had two bites of the cherry before putting the hosts into the lead with Sam Clucas slamming in a sensational effort nearly 10 minutes later to give Marco Silva’s side a vital victory.

Swansea 2 v 0 Stoke

the g

Dramatic scenes at the Liberty Stadium saw Swansea emerge 2-0 victors to give the Swans within touching distance of Hull.

Fernando Llorente’s effort after 10 minutes was enough to give Paul Clement’s men a half-time lead.

On 69 minutes, Stoke were awarded a penalty after Xherdan Shaqiri was tripped in the penalty area. In a crazy 60 seconds Marko Arnautovic blazed the penalty over before a deflected Tom Carroll strike looped into the net to see Swansea to a 2-0 win.

West Ham 0 v 0 Everton

Very much a bore draw with little doing. Both side had chances to win but chances were very few and far between. However, Everton miss the chance to go 5th.
