Aberdeen reach Scottish Cup Final

A 12 second-goal helped Aberdeen triumph 3-2 over recently promoted Hibernian to reach their first Scottish FA Cup final in 17 years.

Aberdeen took a two goal lead within 25 minutes thanks to Adam Rooney’s first minute strike and Ryan Christie’s free-kick before former Norwich forward Grant Holt pulled one back for the Championship champions.

Dylan McGeouch levelled the tie on the hour mark to set up a heated last half an hour.

The tie was decided by a deflected effort as Hibernian goalkeeper Ofir Marciano watched Aberdeen’s Jonny Hayes shot ricochet off Darren McGregor and bounce into the net.

Aberdeen last won the competition in 1990, beating Celtic on penalties.
