Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed in a press conference on Thursday that Joe Hart will not be coming to Anfield.
“He’s a fantastic keeper, the highest quality, but it’s not for us at the moment, nor in the future,” Klopp said.
There were reports the Reds were lining up a £20m bid for the England international but Klopp dismissed those claims.
Hart is currently at Torino in Italy on loan from Manchester City after falling out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola.
Hart told BBC Sport in March that he is “surplus to requirements” at City and does not see himself playing for the Premier League club again.
Meanwhile, sports news outlets are claiming Liverpool have had a £42m bid for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio rejected.
Where will Hart go next?
