The Blades had secured promotion back to the Championship for the first time in 6 years after their 2-1 away win at Northampton Town last weekend.

The result means Bolton cannot catch them with Chris Wilder’s men sitting on 91 points, 12 points ahead of the Trotters who are second with 3 games remaining.

They will be presented with the League One trophy after their final game of the season against Chesterfield.

Sheffield United are the fourth team, after Wolves, Burnley and Preston, to win all four tiers of English football.
